With my big Brother Dean, I started dancing as a little girl.
Prior to instructing dance, I worked as an Occupational Therapist and a Social Worker. My experience in the health fields has given me the background to be sensitive to individual students needs and abilities in order to encourage and motivate them to reach their chosen dance goals.
In 1987-88, I trained and taught full-time for a franchised school of dance where I was trained and taught the following dances: Cha-Cha, Rumba, Mambo, Samba, Swing Hustle, Swing, Merengue, Waltz, Fox Trot, Tango, Polka and Country Two-Step.
In 1996, I was invited by a friend to train and teach with Northwest Athletic Clubs. This is where I currently teach group classes in the following dances: Cha-Cha, Rumba, Salsa, Merengue, Swing, Fox Trot, Waltz and Tango.
Preparing couples for their first wedding dance has been delightful and rewarding. Couples have asked me to teach at their weddings, grooms dinners, and special events.
Your dance can be choreographed for the groom or as simple as just making through without stepping on toes. By adding simple spins to begin and a dip to end can add elegance, confidence and romance.

You have the dance floor, the sound system and the room, in
a private relaxed atmosphere. The class is given at
your own pace and addresses your particular concerns, needs
and taste in music and dance styles.
In 1999, a couple asked me to help them with their first dance, and to teach Swing at their wedding reception. As a gift, I offered to video tape their first dance. After the song and final dip, while hugging his bride, the groom looked up at me, signaled a ‘thumbs up’, and winked. It was the moment that hooked me. From that day I have specialized in working with brides and grooms.
